Andre Costello and the Cool Minors
Monday, April 10
Steve Marion, beter known as Delicate Steve has been making his bi-annual Pittsburgh stop since 2011. He has performed at such venues as the Brillobox, Thunderbird Cafe, Smiling Moose, Mr. Smalls opening for the Tuneyards and even played with the band Saint Rich opening for Wilde Belle at the Rex Theater. This time around Delicate Steve is playing Club Cafe with local favorites Andre Costello and the Cool Minors and Grand Piano.
Delicate Steve is touring in support of his latest effort “This Is Steve,” his third studio album since 2011. This effort shows off his immense guitar prowess proving that great guitarists are still important. Not only that, Steve plays every instrument on this fully instrumental album.
In an interview with NPR’s Steve Boilen earlier this year, Stave said, “I basically set up around my laptop with a bunch of different instruments surrounding me: guitars, basses, keyboards and if I swiveled my stool around 180-degrees, I was in front of a drum kit. I’d do whatever I could in as quick an amount of time as possible without getting too precious about anything. Because I have a habit of doing that. A lot of these songs, I didn’t know what I was going to do next.”
You can here Steve’s guitar riffs Monday April 10 for a 21+ show at Club Cafe. Doors open at 7 and the show begins at 8. Tickets can be purchased at Ticketweb for $10.
