Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership has brought back their rooftop shindig for 2015 with another amazing line-up of local musicians and classic films. Tonight marks the first concert in the once a month summer long series. Tonight Beauty Slap and JD Eicher and the Goodnights will grace the stage at the top level of Theater Square garage at 667 Penn Avenue. Activities begin at 6 while the music starts at 7 and movie at dusk. Young Frankenstein is this months featured classic from 1974 starring Gene Wilder and directed by Mel Brooks.

Beauty Slap is a 6 piece electronic, brass infused, jazzy funk fest. The group is led by producer Jake Bernsten on keyboards and Ableton, Scott Nadelson plays trumpet, Hakeem Bilal plays bass trombone, Gabriel Colby on trombone, Kyle Anderson on trumpet and Paul Crocker on guitar. Beauty Slap just released the Beauty Slap EP.

JD Eicher and the Goodnights is a pop rock band who splits time between Youngstown, OH and Pittsburgh. The band has enjoyed tremendous regional success and are also making waves nationally. You may have heard music from the guys and never realized it as the intro to their song “Aaron,” was featured on a commercial for Olive Garden. JD Eicher and the Goodnights are JD Eicher on vocals and guitar, Ben Portz on keys, Jim Merhaut on bass and Dylan Kollat on drums and percussion.

No outside food and beverages are permitted but handcrafted Food and specialty cocktails and beer will be available. Bring a chair or buy one at the show. The family friendly event is free! Rainout date is the following day.
