Pittsburgh’s own southern rock band, Gone South, had the small town of Indianola Pa. on their feet the whole night. Rock Out Cancer was a benefit concert for small business owner, Raymond Hunter of Oakmont Radiator for nearly 30 years. Being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer has brought hard times upon his family financially. The concert was a huge success and Gone South was a part of it. If you like classic and southern rock bands such as Bad Company, Lynyrd Skynyrd or ZZ Top, you will love Gone South. Their claim to fame is covering rock bands A-Z. They had a good sound and great variety. They played a few of their original songs as well.

The band has been performing for about three years and the Members include:

Rich Gruendl – Lead Vocalist
David Vincze – Guitar and Vocals
Tim Palmer – Guitar and Vocals
Ron Stone – Bass and Vocals
Dan Hosek- Keyboards/Keytar
Dan Vasko – Drums Drums and more Drums

You can check out the band at their website or facebook page. If you see them coming to a venue near you, go check them out. You won’t be disappointed.
Also if anyone would like to donate to the Raymond Hunter fund they can contact Chris Cox at 412-848-2596.
