Brunswick, Maine native Aly Spaltro, known as Lady Lamb knows what its like to work her way through the scene. From making very little money in the beginning to at least becoming a respected touring act. She is touring in support of her 2nd studio album After, on Mom + Pop Music. Though, she is no stranger to making music. Lady Lamb self released 6 albums before catching a break in 2012, while living in Brooklyn.

Her new album is a leap forward from her 2013 debut, tackling topics like breakups, but still keeping a pop centric feel, on opening tune “Vena Cava.” Her voice is alluring on “Violet Clementine,” and for sure is the most unique track on the album. “You build a nest of yellow yarn. You hope to god the yellowed yarn. Is soft enough to break your fall Should you fall, should you fall,” sings lady Lamb on the opening chorus. Other notable tracks on this dynamic collection are “Herotic,” and “Spat Out Spit.”

Her live performances’s are a sight to see, so don’t miss this show at 8pm at Club Café with local opening acts Wayne Beck and Orange Mammoth. Tickets are $12 and can be purchased at ticket web, Dave’s Music Mine or at the venue.
