The duo of Bethany Cosantino and Bobb Bruno have been repping their favorite side of the country since their inception in 2009 by proclaiming that the west coast is the best coast and naming their band the latter. On their most recent album “California Nights” they get into the nitty gritty of their favorite state. Always keeping things upbeat, you might never realize that some of these songs are a bit darker, such as “Sleep Won’t Ever Come.”

On this release Best Coast take a giant leap from the garage into a studio where their sound is more polished and complete. These qualities shine through making the 90’s surf sounds better than ever. This album was definitely a top release of 2015.

The pair are making their 1st stop in Pittsburgh since January 2014 when they opened for Green Day. Their shows have undoubtedly improved more so since then with their unabashed intensity and stage presence.

Doors open at 7pm with The Stargazer Lilies opening at 8pm August 15 at Mr. Smalls Theater in Millvale. Tickets are $18 for the all ages show and can be purchased at ticket web.
