Braddock Mayor Recruits Local Musicians For Campaign

Braddock mayor John Fetterman is making a push at United States Senate and is bringing local musicians together for a concert and fundraiser tonight at the Rex Theater. Fetterman is not your typical politician donning a suit and tie. He is very unconventional in his approach and really signifies the everyday person.

Bastard Bearded Irishmen, Chet Vincent and the Big Bend, Mike Hickey, The Rents and Jakobs Ferry Stragglers, are coming together for the event. They’re doing it for the love of music, but more importantly because they believe in Fetterman and his message.

College instructor and banjo player for The Rents, Jason Pietropaulo said “I tell my students everyday that they should be involved in things they care about, and that they have a voice. I decided to put my time and money where my mouth was after seeing Mayor John on a national TV show. To me, he represents the musician and artists ethos by talking about issues that touch our lives, and the lives of people we know.”

Tickets will be available until 5pm online, but will also be available at the door. Doors open at 6 and show starts at 7. See the schedule below.
