Emerson Jay Performs First Headline Gig Tonight

Tonight is just the beginning of great things to come from the band known as Emerson Jay. Its hard to believe their long list of accomplishments despite never headlining their own concert. Appearing at major festivals like North Coast Music Festival and Rothbury’s Electric Forrest these guys are primed for big things to come.

The Synth laden pop group consists of Jared Gulden on synthesizer and vocals, Brandon Bates on guitar, Dan Evans on bass and saxophone and Pat Donovan on drums. The high school friends released their debut ep entitled THEEP in 2014 and are currently working on a follow up ep. Gulden describes Emerson Jay as an “indie/electronic genre that makes you want to dance like a kid again.”

Their show tonight at Club Cafe also features local bands East End Mile and The Getaway. “Fans can definitely expect some new tunes that we haven’t included in our live show yet and really just a fun upbeat performance that is different from any show we’ve done in the past,” says Gulden.

“2015 was a hell of a year,” he continues. There’s no reason to think otherwise for the new year, especially with over 27,000 new listeners on spotify. Expect to see these guys a whole a lot more in 2016.
