Emily Rodgers moved to Pittsburgh in 2003 and has been performing her original music in some form ever since. She had been signed to Mira Records long before they relocated to Pittsburgh. With 2 albums to her credit, Rodgers has put together possibly her best work yet with the new album “2 Years.” Though Rodgers could be seen a handful of times performing live around town, this is her first new work since 2009.
On June 18 Rodgers celebrated the release of “2 Years” with a concert at Club Cafe accompanied by longtime friend Greg Dutton, formerly of Pittsburgh band Lohio. Your next chance to catch Rodgers live will be July 30 for a Yellow Couch house show. Until then pick up a copy of the new album at Misra Records.
