Pittsburgh Cultural Trust’s new musicSPACE series continues tonight with The Garment District and BUTTERBIRDS. Doors open at 8 PM and show at 8:30 at SPACE Gallery downtown. All proceeds from the $5 show go to the artists!
Multi instrumentalist Jennifer Baron leads the way for the Garment District. She is a founding member of Brooklyn’s The Ladybug Transistor (Merge Records). She has added some more talent to her revolving band line up, this time with drummer Shivika Asthana of pApAs fritAs, and guitarist Dan Koshute of DAZZLETINE. The video was edited from found footage by Pittsburgh-based video/filmmaker Michael Maraden and spliced together with the music. Also be on the lookout for a new 8 song cd from the band in June!
