Givers bring a touch of Mardi Gras to Cattivo

Fat Tuesday is coming a week early in Pittsburgh when the Givers come to town February 2 at Cattivo in Lawrenceville. The Lafayette, LA band has noticeable roots from their rich cultural history, but still maintain a style all their own.

Givers led by Tiffany Lamson, along with Taylor Guarisco, Kirby Campbell,  Josh LeBlanc and Nick Stephan are touring in support of their 2nd full length,  “New Kingdom” released late 2015. In it’s short existence the album already garnered a best rock album nomination from Off Beat Magazine. With the release of the albums first single “Baracuda” came positive reviews even though it was a departure from their earlier work.

The crew has a few more club dates before kicking off the spring festival circuit with stops at OkeeChobe Fest in Florida, BUKU Music & Art Project in New Orleans, Hangout Fest in Alabama and a 2nd appearance at Bonnaroo Music Festival in Tennessee.

They will be at Cattivo Tuesday with Doe Paoro and local indie rockers Sea Rights. Doors open at 6:30 with the show at 7pm. The all ages show is $13.50 pre sale and $15 day of show. Tickets can be purchased at Ticketfly. Cattivo is at 146 44th Street in Lawrenceville.
