Pittsburgh quintet Grand Piano, rose to popularity and became a local favorite with the release of their first full length album, Leap Year in 2014. The guys didn’t waste any time building off their success with a new EP less than a year later. This will be the bands 4th EP since their inception in 2011.
The Sea EP will be officially released May 30th with a party at Cattivo in Lawrenceville, along with special guests Working Breed and Wreck Loose. As a teaser the band dropped a surprise Monday evening, releasing the track “Octopus, PI,” as ordered by “HQ.” The instrumental tune is pretty funky, featuring a whole lot of horns. If this is what’s to come on the actual release we’re in for whole lot of groove’in.
Here is a note from the band about the upcoming show. “PLEASE BE ADVISED TO NOT EAT 45 MINUTES PRIOR TO THE EVENT AS YOU MAY DEVELOP CRAMPING. LIFEGUARD WILL BE NOT BE ON DUTY. THANK YER!”
