English progressive metal band Haken goes back in time with their 4th full length album, Affinity, with their 1980’s epic sound. Some call this their best work yet with all six members having a hand with songwriting.
In an interview with website The Prog Mind, lead vocalist Ross Jennings says “none of us feel like we’ve made our best work yet, let alone ‘made it’. So that urge to produce something better than last time will always be there.”
You might think that an internationaly touring act such as Haken would be able to live off their music efforts solely but you might be surprised to hear that all the members of Haken have day jobs.
Haken is on their 10 year anniversary tour and will be making a stop at the Rex Theater and their first time in Pittsburgh as a whole, August 31 with guitar soloist Sithu Aye and Nova Collective. Doors for the 18+ show open at 7pm with the show at 8pm. Tickets are $20-25 and can be purchased at Ticketfly, or win a pair from us.
