Household Stories took the Club Cafe stage to release their 3rd EP entitled “No. 3,” Saturday April 12, with help from The Red Western as the opening act. Originally scheduled, Sea Rights, did not appear due to personal reasons. Household Stories got their start in Greensburg, PA in early 2011. 3 EP’s in 3 years, the band has progressed from a 3 piece garage band to a fine tuned 5 piece unit.

Original trio, Jon Majiros on acoustic guitar and lead vocals, Matt Zeoli on electric guitar and Frank Hebda on drums were also accompanied by newest members John Perry on bass and Lianna Ankney on vocals. Perry brings a diversified sound to Household Stories and a noticeable stage presence. Ankney also adds depth to the bands sound with her vocals meshing well with Majiros. She brings instant credibility to Household Stories, with the over saturation of all male rock bands.

“Ep 3″consists of 5 original songs. Each track as catchy as the next. Don’t be surprised if these songs get stuck in your head for days. The highlight of the collection being “North by Northwest.” The group also featured “Cool Kids,” “Chutes and Ladders,” “The Weatherman,” and “Sleep,” all from the EP. They closed out the night with “Collider,” from their 2012 EP “Blueprints.”

These guys are seroius musicians with a great sound. Here’s hoping their next release is a full length album. Check them out at the Keynote Cafe June 7 in Jeannette and June 12 at the 2014 Deutschtown Music Festival. EP “N0. 3” can be purchased at bandcamp.
