Carnegie is the place to be Friday July 3rd for an early independence day celebration. Not only will there be fireworks, there will also be a skate competition at the world class Pitcher Park Memorial Skatepark starting at 1 pm. Also from 3-9 live bands will turn the stone pavilion at Carnegie Park into a makeshift stage. TJ Connolly of Chrome Moses helped organize the event securing Bill Jasper Acoustics, A Lovely Crisis, Sun Hound, Flock of Walri and Philadelphia’s Hang-Up Flat. Chrome Moses will also be chipping in a few songs before the fireworks at dusk.
Pitcher Park is at the corner of Forsythe Road and Cook Ln in Carnegie.Be sure to get off at the Green Tree exit if you are taking the parkway. Check out the event page for more details.
