and The Dirty Nil
April 6, 2016
You would have thought Restorations were a Pittsburgh band in 2015, playing three shows in the steel city. They played the sold out Commonwealth Press Beer Barge in April, opened up for The Early November a month later at Mr. Smalls and again at the same venue opening for The Menzingers in November.
Not far off, the band consisting of Jon Loudon on Guitars/Lead Vocals, Carlin Brown on Drums/Percussion, David Klyman on Guitars/Vocals and Ben Pierce on Guitars/Keyboards/Vocals and Dan Zimmerman on Bass/Vocals are yet another successful band from Philadelphia.
Their latest effort, LP3 was released in 2014 with gems like “No Castle” and “The Future.” Loudon’s gravely vocals keeps you enthralled from the opening lines of “Wales,” that go
“Threw my keys into the desert
Kicked a hole in the side of the car
Ate a half cup of sand and fell asleep”
These Shoegaze punk rockers are once again in the burgh, this time for a headlining gig at Club Cafe, with fellow Philly band Creepoid and Ontario trio The Dirty Nil. Tickets for this 21+ show can be purchased at TicketWeb, Club Cafe during any show or at Dave’s Music Mine for only $12. Doors open at 7 with the show at 8.
