Rolling Record Store rolls into town

Jack White’s The Third Man Rolling Record Store will be rolling into town from 3-8 PM at Mind Cure Records Friday, October 11, 2013. The shop is located in Polish Hills at 3831 Dobson Street Pittsburgh, PA 15219. The bus is only on a 9 city fall tour so this is pretty exciting news. According to a video about the Rolling Record Store, “a recent study shows that 97% of all High School aged kids have never been to a stand alone record store.” This is a pretty staggering statistic but not surprising. The concept is to bring the record store to them. The step van painted in school bus yellow contains a sound system and Third Man Record merchandise. The vehicle first appeared at SXSW Festival in Austin, TX in 2011.
