The Dandy Warhols were last in Pittsburgh in 2013 performing the entirety of their then 13 year old classic “Thirteen Tales from Urban Bohemia.” 3 years later they’ll be back in the steel city in support of their 10th album, “Distortland.”

The Portland Oregon band got its start in 1994, cofounded by Courtney Taylor-Taylor and Peter Holmström. The band saw its hey-day when they signed to Capitol Records and had great success with the song “Bohemian Like You.” They have since changed their sound and style with the ever changing times.

The Dandy’s never hit that type of mainstream success again but are sort of indie rock darlings with a rock solid fan base. Though, it’s not hard to stay a fan of a band that keeps pumping out quality music and has stellar live performances. Some key tracks on Distortland are “You Are Killing Me” and “STYGGO.”

Sunday, April 18 will be your best chance to see the crew before they take off for they’re European stint. Doors open for this all ages show at 7pm with the show starting at 8. Tickets are $20 at TicketWeb
