The Mobile Alabama boys and girl, The Mulligan Brothers have made Pittsburgh a regular stop over the past few years, even playing the Funhouse at Mr. Smalls just this past March. They have also graced the stage of The Rex Theater and played Hartwood Acres for Music for MS charity.
The Mulligan Brothers are touring in support of their latest album “Live from the Netherlands,” their third behind their self titled debut and and 2014’s “Via Portland” that really grabbed people’s attention. They offer a fresh take on the bluegrass, americana and roots music genre with impecable songwriting and amazing storytelling with a bit of humor thrown in.
Live From the Netherlands offers a 2 disc set featuring songs recored at the Paradiso in Amsterdam and The Ramblin Roots Festival in Utrecht. You’ll hear classics like “Thrift Store Suitcase” and “Momma Gets My Soul,” to Steeldrivers cover “If it Hadn’t Been for Love.”
The Mulligan brothers will be stopping in Pittsburgh once again Friday night for a 21+ show at Club Cafe with local standouts The Armadillos. Doors open at 7pm with the show starting at 8pm.
