Sly guitar riffs and warm drums resonate through the Hard Rock Cafe as Daily Grind plays a headlining set in their hometown of Pittsburgh, PA on December 27th, 2013. Loyal fans move closer to the stage to listen to and sing along with the suburbanite storytellers’ fusion of alternative rock and hip-hop.
On stage are the core of Daily Grind: Brad Hammer on lead vocals and guitar, Myles Mahoney on lead guitar and vocals, Matt Majot on bass and vocals, and Chris Petteys on drums.
During a basement session in early 2013, the song “Don’t Forget Me” by the Red Hot Chili Peppers lit the spark for these four spirits to become one cohesive unit. Daily Grind hit the Pittsburgh scene hard with a new lineup of original songs shortly after. Ranging from hip-hop to hard rock, their biggest musical influences include the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Queens of the Stone Age, Arctic Monkeys, Black Keys, Incubus, Biggie Smalls, and a slew of other classic and modern acts.
Daily Grind is independently producing their debut album “The Green Plan” for release in mid March before setting off on their first national tour. Tour stops include New York City, Denver, and Los Angeles, with over 50 shows in under three months.
