Avatar took the stage September 15 at Altar Bar with an awesome lineup. First openers were Pittsburgh heavy metal band Talion who did not disappoint and set the stage for the night.
Female-fronted Kevlar were up next and took the stage like true professionals. Kelci, the vocalist, lays it all out on the stage, and shows she is ready to run with the men of rock. Kevlar is out promoting their EP “The Void” with Avatar and Gemini Syndrome. Kevlar is hard at work following up their EP, with a release in early 2016.
The anticipation was growing for Avatar, but not without First Decree performing. They hail from Wyoming and are supporting their upcoming album “This Is Our Rise” which is to be released September 2015. First Decree are no strangers to touring and have shared the stage with many artists as they work towards their goal of having their music reach as many as possible.
Gemini Syndrome are awesome live performers, with vocalist Aaron Nordstrom’s grace on stage. They are working on a follow-up to their debut album, Lux, which has tracks ‘Pleasure and Pain’, ‘Stardust’, and new single ‘Eternity’.
Avatar puts on quite the show, and many crowd members came resembling singer Johannes Eckerstrom whose stage makeup is quite impressive. Avatar hails from Sweden, and has a great fan base in the states. Their most recent album is titled ‘Hail the Apocalypse’ which has the metal track ‘My Bloody Angel’.
