Santa has a secret and he’s not telling until December 19. That is when Hugh Twyman of HughShows music blog is bringing his Secret Santapalooza back for 2nd straight year. The show is billed as A Tribute to Pittsburgh Indie Music, and it truly is. Each band in attendance is performing a song from another Pittsburgh artist, which is a testament to how good these bands are and their support for fellow artists.
Chet Vincent & The Big Bend, Ghost Guts, Wreck Loose, The Red Western, Satin Gum, Clinton Clegg & Paul Luc Duo, Chrome Moses and Andrè Costello and the Cool Minors will each play a 5 song 20 minute set with at least 1 cover thrown in from another local band. The supergroup Javerblöö consisting of Hugh Twyman (Acoustic Guitar/Vocals), Morgan Erina (Electric Guitar/Vocals), Chet Vincent (Rhythm Electric Guitar), Joe Piacquadio (Lead Electric Guitar), Matt Fiorillo (Bass Guitar) Max Somerville (Keyboards), Sean Finn (Drums) and Clinton Clegg (Vocals) will kick things off with a secret song.
HughShows Secret Santapalooza V.2 presented by Deutschtown Music Festival and Wild Kindness Records begins at 8:30 with doors at 8:00 at Kollar Club (3226 Jane St. South Side Pittsburgh). “A very limited quantity of tickets will be available at the door, cash only, but once the room is full, it will be a sell out based on occupancy, which isn’t that much.
