Meeting of Important People, Play Mattress Factory Fundraiser Tonight

The Mattress Factory in Pittsburgh’s North Side neighborhood is not exactly the type of factory you think it is. It’s actually not really a factory at all and there are definitely no mattresses there, unless they are being used as a piece of art.  Although, the building was once the home of a Stearns and Foster mattress warehouse. This contemporary art space is home to life size, full room craftsmanship by in-residence artists.

Tonight from 7-11 PM is  Mattress Factory’s annual Urban Garden Party fundraiser, featuring house band Meeting of Important People. VIP tickets have already been sold out but some general admission tickets remain. GA tickets are $110 for non-members and $85 for Mattress Factory members. Other performers include, MC Comedian Mike Travers, DJ Mad Maxx, MACHETE – Kisumontao and DJ Orquidea, Kierra Darshell’s Divas of Drag and a miraculous magic show by Baffling Bob. All proceeds for this 21+ event, benefit the Mattress Factory’s artistic programs, exhibitions & education outreach.
